Hadieh's story

From the hospital to the hair

Two weeks after a night she still looks happy in, Hadieh was in a car accident that broke her body and was told she would not walk again. Nine months in hospital is where the hair — and then the business — began.

Two weeks before the crash, Hadieh was at an event — dancing, dressed, the version of herself that did not yet know what was coming. The film of that night is still easy to watch. What followed is harder.

She was in a horrific car accident. She broke her back, pelvis, hip, foot, sternum, and ribs. Doctors told her she would be paralysed from the waist down. She spent nine months in hospital.

The videos on this page are hers: the night before, and the long after — a hospital bed, a surgical scar down the spine, a walker, crutches, a therapist’s hands at her waist while she relearned a step. She was not supposed to walk. She did.

In that same hospital stay, her hair started falling out. Looking for a way to feel like herself again is what led her to hair extensions. What began as a way through recovery became a hobby, then a passion, then the work she does now: matching Russian hair, privately, for other women.

Hair By Hadieh is that channel. The collection exists because she needed the hair first — and then decided other people should be able to find it the slow way, the way that lasts.
